Nextorage Corporation (CEO: Katsuyuki Honda, Headquarters: Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan) released the CFexpress Type A memory card "NX-A2SE Series" and the CFexpress Type A card reader "NX-SA1PRO" in January 2025 on Amazon.

NX-A2SE Series
- CFexpress 4.0-compatible CFexpress Type A memory card
- Transfer speeds: Max. read speed: 1,900 MB/s[1] Max. write speed: 1,700 MB/s[1] Minimum sustained write speed: 1,500 MB/s[1]
- Compliant with Video Performance Guarantee (VPG) 200
- Capacities[2]: 1,024 GB / 512 GB / 256 GB
The NX-A2SE Series is a CFexpress Type A memory card compatible with the next-generation CFexpress 4.0 standard, delivering best-in-class transfer speeds.
With a maximum read speed of 1,900 MB/s[1], it significantly reduces transfer times for large-capacity data when paired with the CFexpress 4.0-compatible NX-SA1PRO card reader, streamlining post-shoot workflows and editing processes. The CFexpress 4.0 standard is also backward compatible with CFexpress 2.0, ensuring seamless use with CFexpress 2.0-compatible host devices. Like its predecessor, the NX-A1SE Series, it enables fast, stable continuous shooting for still images and high-quality video recording.
*NX-A2SE transfers data with CFexpress 2.0 for devices non-CFexpress 4.0 devices.
All capacities comply with the Video Performance Guarantee (VPG) 200 standard set by the CompactFlash® Association, ensuring a minimum sustained write speed of 200 MB/s. When used with VPG200-compatible host devices, it minimizes dropped frames during 4K or 8K video recording, providing stable and reliable video performance.
NX-A2SE comes with durability compliant with CompactFlash Association standards and a 5-year product warranty:
Temperature resistance: -12 ℃ to 72 ℃ (operating temperature range)
Shock resistance: EIA-364-27A
X-ray resistance: ISO7816-1
Anti-magnetic: Tested
Electrostatic resistance: IEC 61000-4-2
Nextorage ensures broad device compatibility for the NX-A2SE series. Verified device information will be updated regularly on the Nextorage website: NX-A2SE Compatibility
NX-SA1PRO
- CFexpress Type A card reader with USB 40Gbps interface
- Max. read speed: 1,650 MB/s
- Equipped with a large unique heat sink
The USB 40Gbps interface (maximum transfer speed: 5,000 MB/s) maximizes the high-speed transfer capabilities of CFexpress 4.0-compatible CFexpress Type A memory cards. When paired with the NX-A2SE Series, which boasts a maximum read speed of 1,900 MB/s[1], it enables rapid data transfers. This significantly reduces the time required to handle large-capacity data, streamlining post-shoot workflows and boosting efficiency.
To support the high-speed performance of CFexpress 4.0, a proprietary heat sink design has been developed to improve internal cooling efficiency. This design effectively suppresses temperature increases in both the memory card and card reader caused by the speed advancements of CFexpress 4.0 and USB 40Gbps. It also minimizes the occurrence of thermal throttling*, ensuring fast and stable data transfers, which significantly enhances workflow efficiency.
*Thermal throttling: a control function that suppresses the transfer speed to prevent thermal runaway
NX-SA1PRO has been tested on PCs from various companies for use in a wide range of OS environments. Verified device information will be updated regularly on the Nextorage website: NX-SA1PRO Compatibility
